The main goal of this research project is to support improved management of the T-A water resources system, through informed decision making according to the evaluation of costs and benefits of different scenarios for coordinated versus non-coordinated operation of the reservoirs system in the T-A sub-basin.

The three main research outputs are:

1. The operation policy of the T-A r scenarios (a) separate (current), operation scenario, and (b) a coordinated operation scenario. The evaluation will be limited to costs and benefits from irrigation, hydropower, and environmental flows.

2. A river basin simulation model of the T-A basin, butwo countries.

3. The capacity and trust among researchers from the sub-basin is streng in the future.
