We herewith would like to invite you to the “Tekeze-Atbara Basin” conference on Water Related Studies organized jointly by the Hydraulics Research Center (HRC-Sudan), the Ethiopian Institute of Water Resources (EiWR-AAU), and IHE Delft.

About the Conference

Tekeze-Atbara is an important sub-basin of the Nile with large socio-economic potential; yet, it has largely remained off the radar. This conference will provide the sub-basin the attention it deserves by gathering renowned experts, policy makers and scientists from across the Nile region and beyond to discuss and advance scientific know-how on water issues.
In addition to the presentation of results from the ongoing research projects in the Tekeze-Atbara basin, the conference covers wide themes related to Hydrology, Morphology, Water Resources, and Water Governance of the Tekeze-Atbara basin, as well as other sub-basins of the Nile.
